One of largest collections at the Special Collections and Archives at Southwestern University is the Senator John G. Tower Collection, which documents Tower's life and career as a U.S. Senator from Texas between 1961-1984. The collection is approximately 800 linear feet, and the materials include documents, legislative files, correspondence, speeches, campaign items, photographs, and audiovisual materials. Numerous items from his collection have been digitized and can be found on the Portal to Texas History.
